At Everkept ("we," "our," or "us"), your privacy isn't just a feature—it's the foundation of everything we build. This Privacy Policy explains our commitment to a zero-cloud security model and how we handle your data when you use the Everkept mobile application and website.

1. Zero-Cloud Architecture & Local Storage

We built Everkept so that your most sensitive assets never touch our servers. All physical asset photos, document scans, emotional recordings, and encrypted succession plans are stored strictly locally on your device using bank-grade encryption.

2. Data We DO NOT Collect

Because of our zero-cloud model, we do not have access to, do not view, and do not collect:

• Images or media related to your assets
• Voice recordings or legacy notes
• Specific details about your successors (other than the minimum required contact info for the Pulse Check protocol)
• Your master password or Vault access biometrics

3. Data We Collect & Why

We only collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide basic account functionality and ensure the Pulse Check Protocol works:

• Account Information: Your email address used for registration and authentication.
• Pulse Check Status: Anonymous pings to our secure servers to verify account activity, driving the automated successor handover process.
• App Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage data to help us identify and fix bugs.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We will never sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may use trusted third-party services (like Firebase Auth) solely for the purpose of secure account authentication and email delivery.

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You own your data. Because the vast majority of your data lives on your device, deleting the Everkept app and clearing its local data permanently destroys your Vault. To delete your authentication account from our systems, you can request an account deletion from within the app settings.
